About Me

My name is Dani McLaughlin (she/her), and I’m a doctorally-prepared Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I’m licensed in the state of Washington to diagnose and treat mental health conditions, often with medication, and I primarily work via telehealth.

I specialize in the care of adults with mood disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar spectrum disorder), anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, PTSD, complex trauma, and related psychiatric concerns. My practice is therapy-forward and relationally oriented—I view medication as one of many tools, integrated thoughtfully within a broader treatment framework. My approach is holistic and deeply individualized, considering the emotional, physical, spiritual, and social dimensions that shape mental health.

I have a particular interest in personality structure, attachment dynamics, and the lasting effects of complex trauma. My work is influenced by psychodynamic theory, with attention to relational patterns, unconscious processes, and the deeper emotional currents that shape how we move through the world.

I’m also deeply interested in the interplay between mind and body. I often incorporate lab work to assess for nutritional deficiencies and inflammation, and may recommend lifestyle-based interventions such as nutrition, movement, sleep optimization, and targeted supplements—drawing from both evidence-based and complementary approaches to support whole-person healing.

I believe that healing happens in relationship: to others, to our environment, and to ourselves. It’s a privilege to walk alongside people as they reconnect with their own clarity, self-trust, and capacity for change.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my cat Louie (pictured below), trying new foods and activities, caring for my many plants, exploring the PNW (especially if it involves water), and interior design.
